District Founder's Day Event - CANCELLED

Due to lack of support from district this event is now cancelled.
Module A - Young Leader Training
Where: 93rd Newcastle Scout Group, NE6 4RL

If you have recently signed up for the Young Leaders' Scheme you need to attend this event, whether you are DofE only, or training for the full award. You must complete Module A within 3 months of beginning volunteering with your section.
Module B, D, G & H - Young Leader Training

Cubs Adventure Weekend
Where: Hawkhirst Scout Camp, Kielder

Fancy an action-packed weekend of adventure in Kielder with fellow cubs? By taking part in lots of exciting activities such as climbing, bell boating, archery, zip wire (and many more ) you will complete the Adventure Challenge badge, as well as earn an additional Nights Away, Hikes Away and Time on the Water.

On Saturday morning you will travel together by coach to Hawkhirst Scout camp, Kielder and take part in a day of activities. On Saturday night, after campfire and evening activities, you'll sleep indoors in one of the lodges and wake up feeling ready ti take part in another day of amazing activities before boarding the coach back to Newcastle!

Cost is £55 per Cub including return coach transport.
Cubs Army Camp
Fri 17th May
Where: Moor House Adventure Centre, Durham

Come and join fellow Cubs from across the city for an army themed weekend where you get to meet real soldiers, learn about what they do and take part in fun activities that teach you skills that you would need to be part of the army!

£40 per person includes food, activities, camping fees and souvenir t-shirt and badge.
Newcastle Gang Show 2019

Where: The People's Theatre, Heaton.

Newcastle Gang Show is a family variety show featuring Scouts and Guides from across the City of Newcastle and members further afield from Northumberland Scout County. The aim of the show is to give young people the opportunity to develop theatre skills and perform on a professional stage, in front of a live audience. For some this is a one in a life time opportunity helping to build confidence, make new friends and have fun.

The 100 plus average cast is made up of young people who are members of the Scouting and Guiding who perform a wide mix of song, dance and comedy sketches for the local community to enjoy. Our modern Gang Shows include a wide range of music, from entry's in the charts today to Ralph Reader's traditional songs.

The show week is Wed 17th to Sat 20th April 2019 at The People's Theatre, Heaton.
